REGION 01 / THE STATE OF LEONIDA
VICE CITY
Miami reborn in neon
Rockstar's rebuilt Miami and the biggest, densest city it has ever built — Art Deco hotels along Ocean Drive, a Brickell-style downtown skyline, Little Cuba's storefronts, Starfish Island mansions and clubs like NINE 1 NINE.
REGION 01What Rockstar has shown
Vice City is the centre of Grand Theft Auto VI. Rockstar describes it as the neon-soaked streets at the heart of Leonida, and it is the densest city the studio has built. Reported figures put Vice City alone at roughly twice the size of Los Santos, with the state of Leonida as a whole around twice the map of GTA V — treat the numbers as reported rather than official until launch.
The districts Rockstar has named
Ocean Beach runs along pastel Art Deco hotels and bright white sand. Little Cuba holds the panaderías and domino tables. The Tisha-Wocka flea market sells bootleg brands just off the skyline, and Downtown wears the Brickell-style glass towers where the city's white-collar crime sits.
Nightlife and the wealth gap
NINE 1 NINE is the headline club, modelled on Miami's E11EVEN. Jack of Hearts is the Crosstown strip club Boobie Ike owns, and the Effluvia rooftop bar is where the skyline frames a first meeting with Brian Heder. Offshore, Starfish Island's mansions bracket the other end of the city's money.
How you move through it
The city is bracketed by a marina full of yachts and speedboats on one side and VC International Airport on the other — the airport that anchors a chase sequence in Trailer 2. The highway spine runs north out of the city toward Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga.

THE REST OF LEONIDA

LEONIDA KEYS
A tropical island chain inspired by the Florida Keys — long causeways over turquoise water, stilt houses, charter boats and smuggling routes. Jason ran errands for drug runner Brian Heder here.

GRASSRIVERS
Subtropical wetlands inspired by the Everglades. Airboats cut through mangrove islets past sunbathing alligators — and Rockstar promises far deadlier predators. Seasonal flooding shifts the routes.

MOUNT KALAGA
Forested highlands and national park land in the north — the quiet corner of Leonida, made for off-road exploration away from the neon of the coast.

PORT GELLHORN
A run-down Gulf Coast port town where the neon flickers and the rents are low — motels, strip malls, a shuttered waterpark and a worn-down criminal economy. Mile marker 47 anchors it on the highway.

AMBROSIA
A rural industrial region dominated by sugar refineries and small-town Americana, near the inland waters of Lake Leonida — Rockstar's nod to the communities around Lake Okeechobee.
