- 10:48MechanicBinoculars get used to scout a location before the pair commit to an approach.
- 10:50InterfaceDialogue choices appear inside a cutscene at the Effluvia rooftop bar — conversations, not just cinematics.

THE SYSTEMS BEHIND THE FOOTAGE
WHAT THE REVEAL CHANGED
None of this is a menu description or a press release — every item below was visible on screen during the film. Deeper breakdowns live in the relevant guides.

Two leads, one relationship
Jason and Lucia run jobs as a pair and you can switch almost anywhere in the state. Their relationship is a system rather than a cutscene: it can turn romantic or stay platonic, it grows through shared jobs and downtime, and ignoring each other's messages damages it.

Six stars — and hollow ones
The wanted meter climbs back to six stars for the first time since GTA IV. The smarter addition is the hollow star: police know a crime happened but hold no description, so changing clothes, swapping cars or masking up can shake the search.

Combat that reads the body
Aiming marks red points for lethal shots and yellow markers for joints you can disable, making disarms and non-lethal takedowns real options. Two carried firearms swap instantly, some guns fire one-handed, and bullet-time makes its return.

Robberies with a trade-off
Scores are built around speed versus value: blowing a safe is faster but damages what is inside. Multiple exits let you plan around the police response, and masks come off the item wheel mid-job.

Cars have to be broken into
Vehicles are tiered by security — older cars fall to a Slim Jim minigame, newer ones need a cloned key fob. Trunks store weapons and clothing, and visible damage cuts what a fence will pay.

A state full of things to do
The montage confirms basketball, pool, mini golf, weight training, swimming, scuba diving, kayaking, fishing, hunting, base jumping, parachuting, shooting ranges, stock car and dirt bike racing, jet skis, airboats and backyard wrestling.

Scale and density
Leonida runs roughly twice the size of GTA V's map and Vice City about double Los Santos, but the bigger jump is density — Rockstar has spoken of more than 600,000 NPC animations against roughly 55,000 in GTA V.

The life between the jobs
Long stretches of the reveal are just living there: opening the fridge at a safehouse, picking an outfit, watching TV channels with their own fake commercials, petting a dog with Pet, Scold and Study prompts.
REPORTED, NOT CONFIRMED
NUMBERS ROCKSTAR NEVER GAVE
A few widely repeated figures did not come from Rockstar. They may still turn out to be right — but they are estimates and reports, not official statements.
- 30fps on consoles
- The 30 frames-per-second figure comes from a content creator's account of a hands-off session. Rockstar itself has only said a 60fps mode is not guaranteed.
- An ~80-hour story
- That number is Rob Nelson describing his own playthrough, not an official campaign length. It is the best figure available, and it is still a developer estimate.
- Twice the map of GTA V
- The size comparison remains a community estimate built from footage analysis. Rockstar has never published a square-mile number for Leonida.
