Ambrosia is farmland and industry rather than neon: sugar refineries, cane fields, small-town main streets and the inland water of Lake Leonida. Rockstar frames it as the working middle of the state, far from the beaches.

Lake Leonida is the inland sea at the region's edge, mirroring the role Lake Okeechobee plays in Florida. The lake anchors the region's geography and separates Ambrosia from the wetlands to the south.

A run-down Gulf Coast port town where the neon flickers and the rents are low — motels, strip malls, a shuttered waterpark and a worn-down criminal economy. Mile marker 47 anchors it on the highway.
